Brief Introduction to the Classification of Diode Luminescence

1. According to the luminous color of the luminescent tube


It can be divided into red, orange, green (subdivided into yellow and green, standard green and pure green), blue light and so on. In addition, some light-emitting diodes contain chips of two or three colors. According to whether light emitting diodes are doped with or without scattering agents, colored or colorless, these kinds of light emitting diodes can also be divided into four types: colored transparent, colorless transparent, colored scattering and colorless scattering. Scattering light-emitting diodes are suitable for use as indicator lamps.


2. According to the characteristics of luminescent surface of luminescent tube


According to the luminous surface characteristics of the luminous tube, it can be divided into circular lamp, square lamp, rectangle, surface luminous tube, side tube, micro tube for surface installation, etc.


Circular lamps are divided into 2 mm, 4.4 mm, 5 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 20 mm according to their diameters. In foreign countries, the light-emitting diode of 3 mm is usually recorded as T-1; the light-emitting diode of 5 mm is recorded as T-1 (3/4); and the light-emitting diode of 4.4 mm is recorded as T-1 (1/4). The angular distribution of circular luminescence intensity can be estimated from the magnitude of half-value angle. From the angular distribution of luminous intensity, there are three types:


(1) High directivity. Generally, it is a cusp epoxy package or a metal reflecting cavity package without scattering agent. The half-value angle is 5 ~20 or smaller, which has high directivity. It can be used as a local lighting source or combined with a light detector to form an automatic detection system.


(2) Standard type. Usually used as an indicator lamp, its half-value angle is 20 ~45.


(3) Scattering type. This is an indicator lamp with a larger angle of view. The half-value angle is 45 90 or larger, and the amount of scattering agent is larger.
